An Egyptian-Kuwaiti agreement on an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza

Egypt daily News - In the first official visit of the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to Egypt,  Tuesday, Egyptian President Sisi agreed with the Emir of Kuwait on the necessity of reaching an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

They also affirmed their rejection of Israel's continuation of its military operations, including the possibility of its expansion to the Palestinian city of Rafah, and warned of the dire humanitarian consequences that would result from such a step.

Security and stability of the region threats
They also stressed the danger of Israeli practices that would expand the conflict and threaten the security and stability of the region and international security and peace, and stressed the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities in settling the Palestinian issue by implementing the two-state solution and embodying the Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Additionally they expressed their categorical rejection and condemnation of all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue, Israel’s violations of international law, and all attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
