Israel is preparing to invade Rafah and the Egyptian army is intensifying its drills

Egypt Daily News - In light of the escalation of events in the region and the recent tension due to Israel's threats to invade the Palestinian city of Rafah, the Egyptian military spokesman announced new details about the armed forces' training.

The Egyptian Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, witnessed the implementation of the main phase of the two projects for tactical tactical command centers for one of the Air Forces formations and the Air Defense Forces, which were implemented over the course of several days, within the framework of the combat training plan for the formations and units of the Armed Forces.

The Commander of the Air Defense Forces, Major General Staff Yasser Kamal Al-Toudi, affirmed the permanent readiness of the air defense personnel to carry out the tasks assigned to them within the integrated system of the armed forces to protect Egypt’s skies and secure its airspace.

The Minister of Defense discussed with a number of participants the method of their management of operational situations during the implementation stages, praising the procedures for preparation, organization, and coordination of cooperation between elements of the Air Forces and Air Defense Forces, and their capabilities to manage joint operations to confront various air challenges.

The Minister of Defense also met with a number of commanders, officers and soldiers of the Air Defense Forces, and conveyed to them the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and his pride in the effort made by the men of the Armed Forces to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them to protect the pillars of Egyptian national security at all levels.

The Minister of Defense stressed the keenness of the Armed Forces to pay attention to the systems and methods of combat training for units and formations of the Armed Forces and its main branches in accordance with the latest military systems in all specialties, enabling them to carry out tasks competently and competently under various circumstances.

This comes in light of repeated Israeli threats of a ground invasion of the Rafah, the latest of which was today when the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced that he was proceeding with the process of invading the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip to eliminate the Palestinian Hamas movement, indicating that the process of evacuating civilians from the city had begun.
