Bari (Italy), 05/04/2024 - The opening event of the photographic exhibition and book presentation of “Antologica - fotografie 1968/2023” by the Italian photographer Enzo Lattanzio, will take place on April 12, 2024, at 06:00 PM, in Bari at Kursaal Santalucia Theatre, with the participation of RAI television journalist Francesco Giorgino and art historian Christine Farese Sperken and it will run until April 27, 2024.
The exhibition showcases Enzo Lattanzio's versatile photography in the period that goes from 1968 to 2023. It will feature impactful images documenting the 1968 invasion of Prague and highlight Petruzzelli's theatrical legacy and renowned artists, capturing the essence and humanity of his subjects.
Lattanzio's work reflects a profound search for meaning, encapsulating "a life in a shot" with each photograph.
About Enzo Lattanzio
Enzo Lattanzio (graduated in Medicine and specialized in Radiology) began his career as a photographer in 1967. The following year he published a reportage book on the «Prague Spring», with texts by Arrigo Levi, Enzo Bettizza and Ennio Ceccarini. At the same time, he approached fashion and advertising, and his photographs appeared in prestigious magazines such as «Vogue», «Grazia», «Amica», «Epoca». In the late 1970s Enzo Lattanzio, under the influence of Haas, Fontana, Roiter, approached landscape photography and began his personal research which led him, in 1981, to a major exhibition in Strasbourg, «Chromatismes». In 1985, at the invitation of Lanfranco Colombo, he participated in a collective exhibition at SICOF with the most famous professional theatre photographers; finally, in April of the same year, he took part in a group show on theatre at the «Expo-Arte» in Bari.
