EgyptDailyNews - The White House announced, on Saturday, that US President Joe Biden shortened his weekend vacation to consult with the National Security Team regarding the hot events in the Middle East.

The White House confirmed that the president returned to Washington today, cutting short his vacation. This development coincides with an Iranian attack on Israel. Iran has just responded with over 100 drone and cruise missile to the Israeli air strikes that targeted its consulate in Damascus on April 1, which led to the killing of 7 Revolutionary Guard officers, including two senior military personnel.

On Friday, Biden said he expected Iran to attack Israel “sooner rather than later,” and warned Tehran against moving forward with that.
