Egypt denies the existence of any understandings with Israel regarding the invasion of Rafah

Egypt Daily News - Egypt denied reports that it had discussed with the Israeli side about its plans to invade Rafah.Dia Rashwan, head of the State Information Service, categorically denied what was published in one of the major American newspapers, claiming that there was discussion with Israel of the Rafah invasion operation.

Rashwan affirmed the firm Egyptian position announced several times by the political leadership, of complete rejection of this invasion, which will lead to massacres, massive human losses, and widespread destruction, in addition to what the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip suffered during 200 days of bloody Israeli aggression.

He pointed out that Egypt's repeated warnings had reached the Israeli side - from all channels - since Israel proposed the idea of carrying out a military operation in Rafah, due to the high level of expected losses, in addition to the extremely negative repercussions that would follow on the stability of the entire region.

Rashwan added that while Israel is contemplating this invasion, which Egypt and all the countries around the world and its international institutions stand against, the continuous Egyptian efforts since the beginning of the Israeli aggression have focused on reaching a ceasefire agreement and the exchange of prisoners and detainees, in addition to seeking the entry of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza  for all its regions, especially the northern and Gaza City, and to remove more wounded and sick to be treated outside the Strip, where almost all health services have ended.
