Israel kills 3 sons of Ismail Haniyeh and grandchildren - Haniyeh "Their blood will only make us more steadfast"

EgyptDailyNews - Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, confirmed that 3 of his sons and some of his grandchildren were killed in the Gaza Strip after a car carrying them was subjected to an Israeli bombing in the Beach camp, on Wednesday.

Haniyeh said, on Al Jazeera channel: “I thank God for this honor with which he has bestowed upon us the martyrdom of my three sons and some grandchildren... With this pain and blood, we create hopes, a future, and freedom for our people, our cause, and our nation.”

He added: "My sons, the martyrs, gained the honor of time, the honor of place, and the honor of conclusion. They remained with our people in the Gaza Strip and did not leave the Strip."

He continued, saying: "All our people and all the families of the residents of Gaza paid a heavy price with the blood of their children, and I am one of them... Nearly 60 members of my family became martyrs, like all the Palestinian people, and there is no difference between them."

Haniyeh stressed the continued steadfastness in the face of Israel, saying that “the occupation believes that by targeting the sons of the leaders it will break the resolve of our people,” adding: “We say to the occupation that this blood will only increase our steadfastness in our principles and adherence to our land,” stressing that “what the enemy failed to snatch by killing, destroying and annihilating, will not be accepted in the negotiations.”

Three of Haniyeh’s sons, Amir, Hazem, and Muhammad, and two of his grandchildren, were killed, in addition to the vehicle driver, while one of Haniyeh’s grandchildren was injured, according to Al Jazeera.
