EgyptDailyNews- The Iranian revenge began on Saturday evening to the bombing of the Tehran consulate in the Syrian capital, Damascus, in early April. Israel announced that a barrage of Iranian drones was launched towards it and that the defense systems were ready to shoot them down or to sound sirens to ask residents in any threatened area to take shelter.

The Israeli army's chief spokesman, Daniel Hagari, said during a press conference that the drones will take several hours to reach Israel, according to Reuters. 

More than 200 drone and cruise missile

An Israeli military official also confirmed that Iran launched more than 100 drone towards Israel on Saturday evening, noting that “(other) waves of marches” may follow. The official said: “This evening, we identified more than 100 drones launched from Iran towards Israel,” adding: “We may see other waves of drones over time.”

Circulated pictures showed Israeli air defenses intercepting Iranian drones over Tel Aviv.
